Christmas Day

This year Kate fell in love with Rudolf.
She loved him!
The German-Elf had brought Kate a Ruldolf book that played music...
Apparently it was our morning theme music.
Once the music stopped playing Kate would insist that present opening was to hault until the music returned. Pretty sure we got more than our fair share of "Rudolf the red nosed reindeer..."

Last year we started a tradition we stole from our friends the Petts (Thanks Krystol!)
Since the wise-man brought Jesus 3 gifts; each of our kids get 3 gifts as well.
It helps reduce the insane Christmas commercialism, but still makes for a fun Christmas!
The hard part really comes down to limiting the gifts! It's so hard to only get 3 things, when there are so many fun things! (Luckily we still get to stuff their stockings with all the other things we could decide on...like turtles! and clothes! And of course Grandma & Grandpa, Aunts and Uncles always seem to rally in the gifts as well--Thank you!)

This year Kate's 3:
1) A set of 7 Disney princess Barbies
2) A race track system for her collection of match-box cars
3) Animated book and a matching Buzz-light year game

And Lucy's 3:
1) Pink boots
2) A dancing monkey V-tech electronic game
3) An assortment of "chew" toys
