Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is an evening with my side of the fam...

My lil' "sisser"Ally!

And my grown "brothers" (Missed you Elder B!)

We have a fun tradition of going to see the lights and read the bible story of Jesus' birth. This is probably one of my favorite moments. This awesome neighborhood not to far from us, displays the story of Jesus on huge sheets of plywood in their front yards. Cars line up and drive though the neighborhood reading scripture by scripture the great account. I love it! Someday we'll buy a house on that street!
Once we've been filled with the spirit, we head home for presents...

This year Kate's cousin Marcus was really helpful!

Kate loved her ladybug pillow pet from Uncle Ferin & Aunt Em. She made sure to enjoy it all night, even if that made opening other presents more challenging.

When the fun ended at Grandma MJ's we headed home to finish our the night with our own Christmas Eve Tradition--sleeping under the tree! Kate was in heaven! She KNEW it was a special night. Her exhausted body would not fall asleep! She sat for hours just starring at the tree waiting for some magic!! Chris and I kept asking ourselves, "Does she really understand Christmas Eve?!" We are pretty sure she did because she watched the tree like a hawk all night long!!She f i n a l l y fell asleep...And a few hours later she woke up....VERY HAPPY
Thanks for the visit Santa!!
