Texas Fun: days 1 & 2

Chris and I took our last little trip together before our family of 2 becomes a family of 3. Our cute neice Aimee was getting baptized, so we flew down to Texas to enjoy a week with the good ol' Texas fam. Thanks for the great hospitality and the fun times, we miss you guys already!
.........................................
First things First: FISHING!!
Uncle Chris can't come into town and not take the neices/nephews fishing! :)
Let's Go!!

Upon arriving at the Bayou, Thomas was quick to warn us where the monsters lived! " They live in there" he said pointing to a big metal pipe. Thanks for the head's-up buddy! :)

Fish on!

That night we left for the airport to pick up the rest of the fam who were coming into town for Aimee's baptism. Chris and I had made plans for a rental car for the week we'd be there, all we had to do was pick it up. Easy, right? Yah.....we thought so too! Little did we know the adventure in store!
Anne drops us off at the building we can best identify as the rental location. She leaves to go to a class. Our job: Pick up the rental car, pick up mom and dad from the airport, then head home and start making dinner. Easy.
Well, apparently the building we were at was wrong--about 1 mile or so in the wrong direction. Great. We prep ourselves for the big walk and start on our way. The roads are bare, nothing around us and no 'big rental building' anywhere in sight.
Finally, this amazingly sweet lady drives by (civilization!!!) and kindly pulls over on the road. She was plainly confused as to why a husband and his prego wife are walking down a nearly deserted road in the middle of know where and so she offers her help.
About 20 minutes later we finally arrive at a place that appears to be THE rental location.....success!!
We check in, and are aimlessly pointed off in another direction to get our car. (By this time poor mom and dad had been waiting over an hour for us at the airport! So sorry!!)
We are finally sent off into a huge parking structure full of cars and told, "Go down that aisle, take your 2nd left and then pick one."
Then suddenly we were alone.
Where did everyone go!? What car do we take?? Do we really just take anyone? Sure enough, they all had car keys in them, and all doors were unlocked.
We narrowed our selection down to 5 and hoped for the best.
We picked the pathfinder.
Next: pick up mom and dad, head home, eat dinner, play games!

More texas fun still to come....
