Happy Halloween!! (...last month)

At school Katerbug was a football player. Mom didn't have her costume ready in time for the school parade, so at 7:00 in the morning, Dad stepped in to help and before we knew it we had an NFL star ready for school! Kate loved it!
(As future blogs will demonstate: the girl loves football!)
We've learned quickly that Kate also loves ELMO!
Maybe it's because Uncle Theo gave her one for her first birthday.
Or perhaps, it's because he's the dude hanging in her car window, who shades her from the sun on the early morning drives to school.
Maybe it's because she has never really watched his show.
Probably because he's red, like the Utes!
However he came to be in her heart, the fact is he's there. Happy. Proudly. There.
And so it was simple. Elmo was going trick-or-treating with us.

The first stop was Kate's first house. Literally.
She was excited to see Aunt Joann with a big candy dish. And in her sweet tender heart Kate thought first to share....with all the (fake) animals at Joann's house.
After offering, and being denied, by all the animals at Joann's house, Kate loaded up her bag and was ready to go. Thanks Aunt Joann!

After hitting up a few houses in da' hood we were soaked! Off to the grandma's to dry off!

Grandma offered up a mighty cool halloween book and Kate was in heaven.
Dry and warm, we were ready to hit the streets again Trick-or-treating.....
but wait! Our sweet Elmo was asleep! Luckily we found a home of a very nice Cowgirl and her partner who were willing let us in.
Elmo rested on Grandma & Grandpa's couch. And when we woke up she begged to eat her candy. And she ate and ate, until we got home.....

And into the tub she went!

Then some yogurt to settle the belly (and please the hungry Elmo girl)...
Followed by some reading & snuggle time with daddy...
And then the night came to an end, and we asked our Katerbug if she wanted to do it all over again next year.
"Uhhh-huhhhh" Happy Halloween!!!
